ABOUT CAT'S CRADLE:

Cat's Cradle Needlepoint first started creating hand painted needlepoint canvases in 1984. Before starting the Cat's Cradle line I painted for Cactus Needle for about 8 years. That is where I got my good training for stitch painting. After a few years I took over most of the Cactus Needle line also. Linda Pietz (Cactus Needle) then continued to design canvases for Cat's Cradle as well as others. I have also taken over the Needle Touch line recently and love those designs. I love the production part of the business but have to confess I have little or no artistic ability. I know what I like when I see it and can be an idea person, then I have to pass it on to the professional artists to do the designing. Linda Pietz and Brenda Brawn are the main designers. The Cathy Guisewite designs are used with her permission and are copyrighted by her. They are a lot of fun!

By the way, the Cat's Cradle name does come from the old string game many of us loved to play. Having nine cats helped with my love of the name also. We have a house full and I enjoy their company. They love to help me paint and I have many ruined canvases to prove it! Two golden retrievers round out the menagerie. See photo gallery for photos of my helpers!
